At Scotch & Soda, we are building a consumer and performance obsessed marketing organization. Global, with a local twist. The Country Marketing manager role will sit within the Dutch country organization and reporting into the MD of the Netherlands with a dotted line to our Global Marketing team in Amsterdam. This role is based in Hoofddorp.  


As our country Marketing Manager you manage both consumer and trade facing marketing in the Netherlands and you are responsible for further improving the brand’s position in the country. This with a commercial and multi-channel focus. We need an entrepreneur who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves as the role focuses on executing the global strategy in a way that drives consumer demand and supports the local business.


As a Marketing manager, you will be responsible for managing compelling local campaigns that tell our brand and product stories throughout the year. You keep your eyes and ears open for new opportunities, grounded in a strong annual marketing plan you build together with the local MD and the global Marketing team. The global calendar is the backbone of the plan, which you tailor to the local situation, adding local initiatives as applicable. 


You are capable of overseeing and managing multiple activities at the same time and are willing to get your hands dirty in day-to-day operations. You have excellent people management, project management, planning and organizational skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You have considerable track record in Fashion retail and are comfortable building experiences across owned retail, wholesale and E-commerce channels.



  • Developing and executing the local annual marketing plan;
  • Operating the global marketing calendar across all commercial channels;
  • Activating and amplifying global stories and local opportunities across commercial and communication channels, including sales promotions and individual store support activities;
  • Developing strong co-op marketing plans with national key accounts;
  • Working together with other disciplines such as buying, planning and VM to optimize physical and digital store experience;
  • Monitoring competitor activity and identifying tactical opportunities;
  • Advising global marketing on local needs and developments.


  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role within Fashion Marketing, preferably multi-channel;
  • Experience as a Marketing Manager for the Dutch Market;
  • Excellent project management skills and a strong communicator and negotiator;
  • A natural team player, with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership and partnership;
  • Strong capabilities of communication and presentation skills;
  • Team fit is key and next to the right level of experience we are looking for a candidate who is open, always on to ‘what’s next’, right now, is fashion minded, high on energy, positive and fun;    
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Fluency in Dutch is a must.
